Review: MUA Heaven and Earth Palette

Dear reader: I will be moving my blog soon to Please follow me there if you’re interested in reading more about my posts. Thanks! 🙂

Okay, I think I have established enough in this blog that I love my makeup brushes and eyeshadow palettes – especially the neutrals. As far as UK brands go, before I lusted over Makeup Revolution’s palettes, I have to admit that there was MUA. As far as my limited knowledge about brands and products go, I believe MUA started the UD Naked dupes. Oh, I’m aware that shades of the Naked palette shades have been duped individually by other brands, but I think MUA was the first to make palettes that attempted to dupe every single shade in one Naked palette. Don’t quote me on that though. As I said, I’ve limited knowledge about brands and products. 🙂

Review: Human Heart Nature Peppermint Lipbalm

I have a confession to make. Up until I turned 28, I didn’t wear make-up on a regular basis. Oh, of course I wore lipstick during my graduation ceremonies throughout the years and some school performances, but overall, I didn’t actually have a makeup collection before 2014.

Review: Milani Color Statement Lipsticks in Nude Crème and Naturally Chic

I will be the first one to admit that I have never considered myself a lipstick fan. For the longest time and during my pre-makeup days, I have always relied on my Human Nature Peppermint Lipbalm for avoid chapped lips and that was it. Even when I started getting makeup, it literally took me months before I even bought my first lipstick – and even then it was because it was on sale and super cheap.

So perhaps no one was more surprised than I am when I made the effort to actually look for a seller of these Milani Color Statement lipsticks. I must say that what got me really curious was the fact that Milani has quite an excellent reputation when it comes to their blushers and lipsticks, so I was not about to pass on the opportunity to own at least one of these products. When I came across a review and swatch video of them on Youtube and saw the shades in which they come, I immediately set me heart to buying the ones that I like.

Review: eBay Gold Ferrule Synthetic Brushes

If you have read a number of my blog posts, then you’re probably already aware that I love my eyeshadow palettes and makeup brushes. Admittedly, when one looks at my collection, they’d most likely think I need another eyeshadow palette and makeup brush set like a whole in my head, but I couldn’t seem to resist hauling them when I see a set or a palette that I like.

Having said that, you shouldn’t really be surprised that I have another brush set to review today…

Review: Innisfree Rosemary Sebum and Pore Lotion

For what seems like forever, I have been looking for a perfect moisturizer for my oily combination skin. If you’re wondering why I would need moisturizer when my skin is oily to begin with, it’s actually because oily skin still do need moisturizing. However, when you have oily skin, you couldn’t just pick any moisturizer in the skincare section of your favorite beauty store.

The thing with oily skin is that your moisturizer has to do its job – that is to provide moisture – while at the same time, be light enough on your skin. I was browsing through eBay a couple of months ago when I found this Innisfree Rosemary Sebum and Pore Lotion. Now considering that I have oily combination skin, you can pretty much tell why this gets me excited enough to purchase this product right away.

Review: Hard Candy Kal-Eye-Descope Baked Eyeshadow Duo

I first heard of Hard Candy from Emily Eddington of Youtube, who is perhaps one, if not my top makeup influences. I have been a subbie of hers for some time now and have learned a lot from her. In a number of her videos, she talked about loving these Hard Candy Kal-eye-descope Baked Eyeshadow Duos and I somehow made that mental note in my mind to be on the lookout for them when I do my online shopping.

Five-in-One Battery-operated Face/Body Brush-Massager Set from eBay

Ever since I saw Clarisonic’s facial brush on Youtube sometime ago, I have always wanted to get it. However, being the cheapskate that I am, I know that I will never be able to wrap my head around spending more than $100 on a facial cleansing tool. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it’s not worth it, but to me it’s a matter of not having that much money to spare for what I would consider to be a high-end product.

Fast forward to a couple of months ago, I was browsing Youtube videos and saw this review of a battery-operated facial brush set that the reviewer bought on eBay. Having been a serial eBayer since the dawn of my online shopping days, I naturally could not resist the urge to check it out. The reviewer seemed pretty satisfied with the product, so I decided it’s worth a try.
